Claire,

Do you by any chance know the website for these places. How was the food there.

Hi Baovan,
Here are the details on White Elephant:

White Elephant
(215) 663-1495
759 Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006

Seems they don't have a website! I'll try to get a menu.

I just happened upon this restaurant on the way back to work from an appointment. It appears tiny in a rather large strip mall dominated by Genuardi's, a supermarket chain in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

But, as you enter, it just exudes charm, with lots of live green plants, a huge elephant statue near the entrance, a water fountain, wall hangings and beautiful mirrors grace the walls, and they have a luncheon special for less than $8 which includes your choice of soup/appetizer/entree.

I very much enjoyed my lunch of Lemon Grass Soup, Thai Dumpling and a Chicken/Shrimp Entree which was delicious and lightly spicy.

The restaurant was almost empty when I arrived, but as I was leaving, a group of 21 people were arriving in 5 cars and the waiters were scrambling to accommodate them.

I recommend this restaurant to everyone.
