Debra, owner and instructor, has enjoyed teaching flute and piano to children since 1993. She has suzuki training from the Suzuki Association of Americans, a BA in Psychology from Burlington College in Vermont and has completed graduate course work in music education.

Debra is a passionate believer in the success of the Suzuki method and works with parents to support a child’s positive progress. The focus of a student’s first year of lessons is posture, beautiful tone and proper technique, taught in a lighthearted and playful way.

The ideal age for a Suzuki beginner is 4-6. The first step in pursuing lessons is for parent and child to observe another child's lesson for a period of 4 weeks. Children come away from this observation time with a positive outlook and a high level of motivation by the time they begin their own lessons.
