"Better Housing, Happier Lives, Stronger Communities"
The International District Housing Alliance (IDHA) began in 1975 as a grassroots community group that organized low-income residents of Seattleç—´ Chinatown-International District (ID) neighborhood, focusing on housing and development issues. Since establishing its 501(c)(3) status in 1979, IDHA has grown tremendously as a social service agency, reaching approximately 2,500 clients a year through a variety of programs that encompass capacity-building, education, advocacy, translation, and interpretation. IDHA programs include:
1. Housing information, search and referral
2. Eviction prevention
3. Tenant Outreach and education
4. Emergency Rent Assistance
5. Low-income Housing Advocacy
